What’s inside:

This article discusses the travel situation after the Chhath festival in Varanasi, highlighting the unavailability of train seats for various destinations.

The Chhath festival wrapped up on Tuesday, marking the beginning of the return journey for many people from Varanasi. However, getting tickets for trains has become quite tough now.

As people start heading back to cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, and others, there are no seats available in major trains until November 25. Many trains show a “no room” status for various dates, making it hard to book reservations.

Trains heading to Mumbai such as the Mahamana, Banaras-LTT Superfast, and Kashi-Dadar Express are completely booked. Similarly, trains to Delhi like the Shramjeevi and Kashi Vishwanath are also facing heavy demand.

Even the VIP train, Rajdhani Express, has no seats for several days. The Vande Bharat train also shows a waiting list of over a week. Popular trains to Kolkata and Ahmedabad are fully packed as well.

To manage the rush, special trains will run from Varanasi and nearby stations on various dates, although many passengers prefer regular trains due to concerns about delays. The railway board is actively monitoring these special trains for their punctuality.

Summary:

  • The Chhath festival has ended, leading to a rush of travelers.

  • Trains to major cities are fully booked until November 25.

  • Popular routes like Mumbai and Delhi are facing heavy demand.

  • Special trains will be introduced to help manage passenger flow.

  • Railways are monitoring the situation to ensure better service.
