This article shares news about a new Vande Bharat train service connecting Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Raipur.

Prayagraj is set to get another Vande Bharat Express train soon. This train will run between Varanasi and Raipur, passing through Prayagraj Junction. The proposal for this service has been sent to the Railway Board by the South East Central Railway in Bilaspur.

This new Vande Bharat train will cover a distance of 835 kilometers, making it the second longest in India. Currently, the longest Vande Bharat service operates between Pune and Nagpur, which spans 881 kilometers and takes around 12 hours to complete.

For passengers, this new train will significantly reduce travel time. The journey from Prayagraj to Raipur is expected to take about 11.5 to 12 hours, while the trip from Varanasi to Raipur will take around 13.5 to 14 hours. The train will depart from Raipur at 6 AM and reach Varanasi by 8 PM, making it convenient for travelers.

Right now, three trains run from Raipur to Varanasi via Prayagraj: the Chhapra-Durg Sarnath Express, Nautanwa-Durg Express, and Gondia-Barauni Express. These trains currently take about 19 hours for the journey, with travel from Raipur to Prayagraj taking 15 to 16 hours.

Once the Vande Bharat service starts, it will make travel much easier and faster for passengers. The exact starting date of the service is yet to be announced, but the timings and routes have been finalized to enhance connectivity in the region.

Summary:

  • Prayagraj will soon have a new Vande Bharat train service.

  • This train will connect Varanasi and Raipur via Prayagraj Junction.

  • Travel time from Prayagraj to Raipur is expected to be 11.5 to 12 hours.

  • Current trains take around 19 hours for the same journey.

  • The start date of the service is yet to be confirmed.
