Pune is seeing a great response to its Vande Bharat trains during the Diwali season. The trains running from Pune to Nagpur, Kolhapur, and Hubli have been quite popular among travelers from October 17 to 27.

In just ten days, these three trains made 30 trips and around 23,811 people traveled on them. This resulted in a total income of nearly 2.94 crore rupees for the Pune division, making the festive season successful for these trains.


To make it easier for passengers, extra trains were added from Pune. However, finding available seats was tough during Diwali. So, travelers chose any train they could get tickets for, even if it was the more expensive Vande Bharat Express.

The Vande Bharat Express trains on the routes to Kolhapur, Hubli, and Nagpur saw full occupancy. The highest demand was for the Pune to Nagpur route, which had an average fill rate of 130% during this period.


Overall, the response to the Vande Bharat trains has been impressive, especially during the festive season when many people are traveling. These trains have successfully completed their journeys with full capacity.
