According to the new rules, the minimum distance for booking a Vande Bharat sleeper ticket is set at 400 kilometers. For sleeper class, the minimum fare is fixed at ₹149, while the second-class fare starts from ₹36 for 50 kilometers.
Additionally, only three categories will have reserved quotas in the sleeper class: women, differently-abled individuals, and senior citizens. The Railways will also try to provide lower berths for senior citizens and those traveling with children.
