Train Delays and Diversions Announced for Kanpur Central Due to Non-Interlocking Work at Amausi Yard

This article gives information about train delays and changes due to ongoing work in the Lucknow division.



There are some changes happening with train services because of work being done at the Amausi yard in Lucknow. This will affect many trains passing through Kanpur Central, including the Ayodhya Vande Bharat Express, on different dates.

According to the railway officials, the Kanpur Central-Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh Intercity Express will be held back for 40 minutes from Lucknow on October 9. On October 10 and 11, this train will leave Kanpur Central at 6:30 PM, instead of 5:30 PM.


On October 12, the Ayodhya Cantt-Anand Vihar Terminal Vande Bharat Express will now start from Ayodhya Cantt at 4:00 PM instead of 3:20 PM. Also, the Lucknow-Jabalpur Chitrakoot Express and the Lucknow-Bandra Terminus Weekly Superfast Express will have new departure times on the same day.

The Swarna Shatabdi Express from New Delhi to Lucknow will take a different route on October 8. It will now travel via Unnao-Makhi-Balamau instead of the usual route. The Pune-Lucknow Junction Superfast Express will also follow this new route on October 7.


Additionally, five trains will not be stopping at the Amausi station on October 8 and 9 due to the ongoing work. Passengers are advised to check for updates and plan their journeys accordingly.
