What’s inside:

This article talks about train delays in Jhansi due to an accident, leading to cancellations and passenger refunds.

In Jhansi, there was a big issue with train services on Wednesday and Thursday. All trains ran on time initially, but they ended up reaching their destinations late. This made many passengers quite unhappy.

The trouble started when a coal freight train derailed near Mathura, causing damage to both the up and down tracks, as well as the third line. This incident affected various trains, including premium ones like Shatabdi, Rajdhani, and Vande Bharat, which were stuck for up to five hours at stations like Agra, Gwalior, and Jhansi.

Because of these delays, several trains, including New Delhi Shatabdi, Khajuraho Vande Bharat, Gatiman, and Taj Express were canceled. Passengers arriving at Jhansi’s Veerangana Lakshmibai Station were disappointed to learn about these cancellations, and more than 2,500 tickets were canceled as a result.

The IRCTC and Indian Railways have begun processing refunds for affected passengers. The public relations officer of the division stated that train operations were impacted due to the accident in Mathura, and many trains were canceled for safety reasons.

Looking ahead, train services that were canceled are expected to resume. Passengers should check for updates on train schedules and refunds, as operations are being restored gradually.

Summary:

  • Trains in Jhansi faced delays due to a derailment incident.

  • Premium trains were stuck for hours, affecting many passengers.

  • Several trains were canceled, leading to over 2,500 ticket cancellations.

  • Refunds for affected tickets are being processed by the railways.

  • Train services are expected to gradually resume in the coming days.
