What’s inside:

This article reports on a recent stone-pelting incident involving the Vande Bharat Express train in Bihar, highlighting previous similar occurrences and ongoing safety concerns.

The Vande Bharat Express, one of India’s modern trains, faced another attack on Monday evening. This incident occurred while the train was traveling from Jamalpur to Howrah, near the Punjwara crossing in Bhagalpur district.

Unknown individuals threw stones at the C-4 coach of the train at around 5:15 PM, causing significant damage. Two windows shattered completely, and an emergency window’s glass was also broken during the attack.

Fortunately, no passengers were hurt, but the incident created panic among those on board. As soon as the Railway Protection Force (RPF) received the news, a team was dispatched to investigate the situation.

This is not the first time such a thing has happened. In the last two months, there have been five instances of stone-pelting on this Vande Bharat route. Each time, the RPF has promised investigations, but no concrete action has been taken so far.

The RPF has now collected CCTV footage from the scene to identify the culprits. They are also urging people not to engage in such violent acts and running awareness campaigns in schools and villages to highlight the dangers and damage caused by stone-pelting.

Summary:

  • Vande Bharat Express was attacked by stones in Bihar.

  • Around 5:15 PM, two windows were shattered in the incident.

  • No passengers were injured, but fear spread among travelers.

  • This is the fifth stone-pelting incident in two months on the same route.

  • CCTV footage is being reviewed to find those responsible.
