The Vande Bharat Express trains are getting an upgrade! Passengers traveling from Rani Kamalapati in Bhopal to Hazrat Nizamuddin in Delhi and Jabalpur will soon enjoy new Volvo-style seats for better comfort.
Indian Railways has decided to replace the current seats in Chair Car coaches with these new ones, which are known for being wider, better cushioned, and providing more back support.
Many travelers had complaints about the old seats, especially the ones in the first version of Vande Bharat. People often said the seats felt too hard, making long trips uncomfortable and leading to back pain.
The new seats will first be installed in two Vande Bharat trains starting from Rani Kamalapati station. A company from Gujarat has been hired to do this work, with plans to have the new seats ready by the end of this year.
After this initial upgrade, the same comfortable seating will be added to older Vande Bharat trains across the country. The work will further be managed by the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai.
