The Vande Bharat train has started making stops at Reasi, and this news has made everyone in the area very happy. People see this as a big step towards the development of Reasi.
Local MLA Kuldeep Raj Dubey flagged off the train, and over 500 residents gathered at the station, celebrating this moment with excitement.
From now on, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to Srinagar Vande Bharat Express (train number 26401/26402) will stop at Reasi for two minutes. The train will leave Katra at 8:10 AM and arrive in Reasi at 8:28 AM before heading to Srinagar.
On its return journey, the train will reach Reasi at 4:34 PM. Earlier, this train only stopped at Banihal station between Katra and Srinagar.
This train is significant as it connects the Kashmir valley to the Jammu region using the world’s highest railway bridge over the Chenab River and the first cable-stayed bridge in the country. The stop at Reasi will make it easier for visitors to reach popular tourist sites like Shri Mata Vaishno Devi and Shivkhori.
