No Tatkal or Waitlist for the Varanasi-New Delhi Vande Bharat Sleeper. Check the fixed fares and schedule for this new service here.
Indian Railways has officially announced the operational guidelines for the newly launched Varanasi-New Delhi Vande Bharat Sleeper Express. For passengers looking to travel on this premium service, the rules are quite different from standard express trains, requiring much more careful planning.
No Tatkal or Waitlist Tickets Available
In a significant move to ensure smooth operations, the railway administration has confirmed that the Varanasi-New Delhi Vande Bharat Sleeper will not feature any Tatkal or Premium Tatkal booking facilities. This means there is no option for last-minute emergency bookings.
Furthermore, the train will not issue tickets under Reservation Against Cancellation (RAC) or Waitlisted (WL) status. Passengers are advised that only confirmed tickets will be issued for this service. To avoid disappointment, travelers must secure their reservations well in advance of their journey.
Stable Pricing with Fixed Fares
To protect passengers from sudden price hikes during peak travel seasons, the authorities have decided against implementing a flexi-fare system. This ensures that ticket prices remain stable and predictable, regardless of demand surges. The current fare structure is as follows:
- First AC (1A): ₹3,030
- Second AC (2A): ₹2,470
- Third AC (3A): ₹1,915
