19 Festival Special Trains for Yamuna Nagar-Jagadhri

To accommodate the massive surge in passenger traffic during the upcoming Diwali and Chhath Puja festive season, Indian Railways has introduced 19 pairs of special festival trains. This initiative is designed to ease the heavy travel demand expected during the holiday period.

The Ambala Rail Division has confirmed that eight of these special train pairs will stop at the Yamuna Nagar-Jagadhri railway station. This move is specifically aimed at assisting migrant workers from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, who are employed in the local plywood and metal industries, by providing them with easier access to travel back to their hometowns.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Yashanjeet Singh stated that the primary objective of this initiative is to facilitate smoother travel for passengers returning home to celebrate the festivals with their families.
