There’s some good news for people in Rajasthan! A new 143-kilometer railway line connecting Dungarpur and Banswara is finally moving forward after many years of waiting.
The local MP, Rajkumar Rathod, recently met with the Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and expressed the need to speed up the work on the railway project. The minister assured him that progress would be made soon.
Once completed, this railway line will make travel easier for passengers between Dungarpur and Ratlam. It will also enhance the local economy as land prices near the railway line are expected to rise.
In total, the project will include 19 stations, with 14 located in Rajasthan and 5 in Madhya Pradesh. Some of the stations in Rajasthan will be Dungarpur, Banswara, and several others along the route.
The project was first announced in 2010-11 but faced delays due to land acquisition issues. The aim is to complete it by 2031, and construction costs have risen significantly over the years.
