Indian Railways is expanding its Vande Bharat train services. Recently, the ministry approved four new trains that will soon start operating in the country.

With this approval, the total number of Vande Bharat services will rise to 164. Currently, there are 156 such trains running across India.


The new trains include routes from KSR Bengaluru to Ernakulam, Firozpur to Delhi, Lucknow to Saharanpur, and Varanasi to Khajuraho. These services are expected to begin shortly.

Vande Bharat trains are known for their modern features. They have a speed capability of up to 180 km/h and include safety systems, air conditioning, and CCTV cameras for passenger security.


The railways are also working on the next generation called Vande Bharat 4.0, which is expected to be launched in the next 18 months, aiming to set global standards in train travel.
