What’s inside:
The announcement about the Vande Bharat Express connecting Saharanpur to Prayagraj has left locals disappointed as it won’t reach their city just yet.
Recently, there was excitement in Prayagraj when Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that the Vande Bharat Express would run from Saharanpur to Prayagraj. People were happy to hear this news, especially with the Lok Sabha elections coming up.
However, now it seems that this dream is not fully realized. The train will run, but only up to Lucknow. Starting from November 7, the Saharanpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express will operate six days a week, leaving Saharanpur in the morning and returning in the evening.
Passengers can enjoy a comfortable journey with good seating and food options. The train will leave Saharanpur at 5 AM and reach Lucknow by 12:45 PM. The return trip starts at 3 PM from Saharanpur and arrives back in Lucknow by 11 PM. But sadly, it won’t stop in Prayagraj.
Railway officials mention that it would take an additional six hours to extend the train to Prayagraj. This is because they need more train sets, but currently, there is only one available.
For now, the promise of connecting Prayagraj to Saharanpur through the Vande Bharat Express remains unfulfilled. The railway authorities have asked people to wait, assuring them that the extension will happen soon. Locals continue to hope for the day when the train will finally reach their city.
