This article discusses the upcoming meeting regarding passenger issues at Purnia Court Railway Station and the proposals to improve facilities.
On November 19, the second meeting of the Samastipur Division Railway Users Advisory Committee is set to take place at the divisional railway manager’s office in Samastipur. This meeting aims to address various concerns regarding the Purnia Court Railway Station.
Rajesh Yadav, a member of the committee and spokesperson for Purnia Lok Sabha, is preparing to present important issues related to the condition of the Purnia Court Railway Station. The station is in a very poor state, and there is a lack of basic facilities for passengers.
One major concern is the inadequate sanitation facilities, with only one toilet available in bad condition. This situation makes it difficult for passengers, especially women and senior citizens. Additionally, there is a serious shortage of clean drinking water, particularly during the hot season.
Yadav has proposed several improvements, such as the construction of an overbridge from Purnia Court Station to Shri Nagar Road to ease traffic jams. He also suggested better facilities at the Rupouli Halt, including drinking water, toilets, and lighting, along with repairs and enhancements at platforms 2 and 3 of Purnia Court Station.
The meeting will discuss the need for the Vande Bharat and Haat-e-Bazaar Express trains to stop at Purnia Court Station and the installation of passenger lifts. There is a push to include this station in the Amrit Bharat Station scheme and to expedite the opening of the washing pit.
