Indian Railways is starting a new weekly special train between Ranchi and Ajmer to help with the heavy summer rush. This train will provide a direct link for people traveling from Jharkhand to Rajasthan cities like Jaipur and Ajmer. The North Western Railway will manage this service, which is set to run from April to July 2026. This move comes as a relief for families planning their summer vacations.
Ranchi to Ajmer Special Train schedule and timings
The train service will complete a total of 13 trips for the convenience of passengers. Train number 09619 is scheduled to leave Ajmer every Friday night at 11:05 PM and will reach Ranchi on Sunday morning. For the return journey, train number 09620 will start from Ranchi every Sunday morning at 10:50 AM and reach Ajmer by Monday evening. This new service follows the successful launch of direct trains to Ayodhya from the region.
Coach details and route information
To provide comfortable travel to all, the railway has included 20 coaches in this special train. Passengers can choose from Second AC, Third AC, Sleeper, and General coaches depending on their needs. The train will stop at important stations like Jaipur, making it easier for people to reach different parts of Rajasthan. Reservations for these summer special trips will open soon on the official IRCTC website.
