A new footover bridge became operational about eight months ago, which has led to a significant drop in people crossing the railway tracks illegally. How does the new footover bridge help passengers?
The new bridge connects Platform Number 1 with Platforms 2-3 and 4-5. It also provides a direct exit route towards Rampur. Because of this facility, passengers no longer need to walk across the tracks to change platforms or leave the station, making their journey much safer.

The North Central Railway’s Prayagraj Division conducted a special drive from January 1 to June 21, 2026. During this period, action was taken against 973 people for crossing tracks across the entire division. Out of all major stations, Hathras Junction had the lowest number with only one such case reported.
