When will the B28 Bullet Train be ready
The first prototype of the B28 bullet train is expected to roll out by early 2027. According to the Ministry of Railways, the target for completing its manufacture is March 2027. Work is moving fast, and the first prototype coach body is likely to be ready by August 2026.
Where will the train be manufactured and tested
The train is being built at BEML’s Aditya plant in Bengaluru, which was inaugurated by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on April 25, 2026. This facility uses high-precision robotic laser welding systems. Once manufactured, the train will go to the Surat depot for testing for four to six months before it starts carrying passengers.
