The UTS app was an older system with limited services and was mainly used for unreserved, platform, and season tickets. To make things easier, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launched the RailOne Super App on July 1, 2025. This new app is faster, more secure, and user-friendly compared to the old one.

The RailOne app combines multiple services that previously required different applications. It handles everything from ticket booking to food orders and complaints.

The app has seen a huge response since its launch. It has surpassed 31.6 million downloads on Android and 3.3 million on Apple devices. In February 2026, the app recorded over 5 lakh daily ticket bookings. The AI tool for waitlist confirmation has also improved its accuracy from 53% to 94%.
