Train Delays Due to Weather Conditions

Recent weather conditions, specifically cold temperatures and dense fog, have significantly impacted train services in and out of Delhi. Many trains are currently running several hours late, affecting both arrivals and departures. The delays are primarily seen in trains coming from the eastern and southern regions. Passengers are advised to check the updated schedules as the delays cause adjustments to departure timings for various trains.

Trains Arriving Late

A number of trains have been reported to be running late, with some experiencing substantial delays. For instance, the Chennai-New Delhi Tamil Nadu Express is delayed by 2.5 hours, while the Barauni-New Delhi Humsafar Special is 4 hours late. Other notable delays include the Rajgir New Delhi Shramjeevi Express at 4 hours, the Sai Nagar Shirdi-Kalka Superfast Express at 3.5 hours, and the Muzaffarpur-Anand Vihar Terminal Superfast Special, which has a delay of 7.45 hours. The Visakhapatnam New Delhi AP Express and Dhanbad Jammu Tawi Garib Rath Special are also experiencing delays of 4 hours and 4.25 hours, respectively.

Delays for Trains Departing from Delhi

In addition to arriving trains, several services departing from Delhi are also experiencing delays. The Anand Vihar Terminal-Saharsa Garibrath Special is running late by 3 hours and 5 minutes, while the Anand Vihar Terminal-Muzaffarpur Superfast Special 05284 is delayed by four hours. Another train, the Anand Vihar Terminal-Muzaffarpur Superfast Special 05220, is facing a delay of five hours. These delays are compounded by severe air quality issues and visibility challenges in the region, as noted by the Central Pollution Control Board.
