The South East Central Railway (SECR) has decided to run a special train between Durg and Hazrat Nizamuddin to manage the heavy passenger rush during the upcoming Holi festival. This new service will provide relief to travelers planning to visit their homes or return to work during the festive season in March 2026.
Train schedule and timings
According to the official announcement, Train No. 08751 will depart from Durg on March 1 and March 2, 2026. This train is scheduled to leave Durg at 10:45 AM and will reach Hazrat Nizamuddin the next day at 11:10 AM. This gives passengers a convenient morning departure option.
For the return journey, Train No. 08752 will run from Hazrat Nizamuddin to Durg. It is scheduled to depart on March 2 and March 3, 2026, at 12:30 PM. The train will reach Durg the following evening at 6:20 PM, ensuring passengers reach their destination comfortably after the festival.
Stoppages and coach details
The special train will cover a long route and stop at several important stations to benefit maximum passengers. The stoppages include Raipur, Uslapur, Pendra Road, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Katni Murwara, Damoh, Saugor, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Agra Cantt, and Mathura. This connects major cities in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh.
The train will carry a total of 20 coaches. The composition includes one AC-II tier, five AC-III tier, seven Sleeper Class, and four General Unreserved coaches. There is also one composite AC-I/AC-II coach and a power car, offering booking options for all types of travelers.
