“India’s First Vande Bharat Sleeper Train to Start Between Patna and Delhi, Speed Expected to Reach 140-160 kmph”

Vande Bharat Sleeper Train, the first of its kind in India, is set to start running between Patna and Delhi. The train will have a speed of 140 to 160 kilometers per hour.

The Vande Bharat Sleeper Train is expected to start operating in the new year. It will offer a faster travel time compared to the Tejas Express between Patna and Delhi.


The train will have a total of 16 coaches, including 11 AC3 coaches, 4 AC2 coaches, and 1 AC1 coach. It will provide various facilities for passengers, including a security system to prevent accidents.

The interior design of the train will feature amenities such as USB-integrated reading lamps, real-time passenger information systems, high-speed Wi-Fi, touch-free bio-vacuum toilets, and ergonomic stairs to upper berths.


Once the first coach arrives, trial runs will begin on the Patna-New Delhi route. Regular operations are expected to commence from the new year, with the train running six days a week between Patna and Delhi.
