Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the complete 82 km Namo Bharat corridor on February 22, 2026. This Rapid Rail Transit System connects Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Modipuram in Meerut. The public can start using this service from 6:00 PM this evening. This new rail link reduces the travel time between the two cities to less than an hour, which usually takes 2 to 3 hours by road.
What are the Ticket Prices and Timings?
The train service will be available for passengers from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, the trains will start running a bit later at 8:00 AM. The frequency of trains is set at every 10 minutes now that the full line is open. Passengers can buy tickets using the Namo Bharat app, NCMC cards, or QR-based paper tickets.

The Namo Bharat train is designed to run at a high speed of 160 km/hour. It covers the entire 82 km distance in just 55 to 60 minutes. Every train has a special premium coach that offers cushioned reclining seats, more legroom, and coat hooks for office goers.
Passengers will find modern gadgets like mobile and laptop charging points at every seat. Free Wi-Fi is also available during the journey. The Sarai Kale Khan station has been developed as a huge hub connecting with the Railway Station, Delhi Metro Pink Line, and ISBT through a skywalk. Safety is ensured with CCTV cameras and platform screen doors at all stations.
