The Patna Metro Rail Corporation (PMRC) has decided to rent three-coach metro trains from Pune Metro to provide services between Meethapur and ISBT. This connectivity will make it easier for passengers to travel between these areas and avoid heavy traffic.
The expansion plan is divided into two phases, with the first phase focusing on reaching Malahi Pakdi by February. Once the expansion is completed in February, the metro network will extend up to 6.107 kilometers.
Due to technical reasons, work at Khemnichak Station is not yet complete, so trains will not stop there in February. However, once the corridor up to Meethapur is fully operational in August, Khemnichak Station will also be opened for passengers.
The most important part of the metro network will be Khemnichak Station, which is being prepared as an interchange junction. This station will connect Corridor-1 and Corridor-2, providing passengers with the convenience of changing trains easily.
