Pirpainti Station Development
Pirpainti station, located in Bhagalpur, has undergone significant development and is now recognized as a model station, as announced during the inauguration ceremony by DRM Manish Kumar Gupta of Eastern Railway. This enhancement aims to provide better facilities for passengers. With the expansion, the station will see an increase in the number of passenger (EMU) trains and will accommodate new train stoppages. Additionally, the second phase of development will focus on upgrading platform number-2, significantly improving passenger amenities.

Future Connectivity Plans
MLA Lalan Paswan highlighted the government’s plans for further railway connectivity in the region. The completed Pirpainti-Godda railway line and proposals for the Pirpainti-Kataria line are expected to enhance the rail network significantly. Moreover, the station’s connection to two national highways (NH) is anticipated to increase the demand for more train services and local trains, prompting the MLA to submit a request for additional train stoppages to the DRM.
