Siddharthnagar Railway Station: New south-side road construction accelerated to ease passenger traffic
The railway administration is speeding up the construction of a new road on the southern side of the Siddharthnagar railway station. This project aims to reduce the traffic jams that frequently occur at the northern railway crossing. The work is expected to be completed within two months from April 26, 2026.

A second entry point is being developed on the south side to help passengers avoid the crowded north crossing. The railway administration has already filled pits on the vacant land and started building a boundary wall near populated areas. To support this, a new booking window is also planned for the south side, and its foundation work is already finished.

The ground has been leveled and sand has been applied to manage moisture. Gravel laying and compaction are scheduled to happen within the next two to four days. Additionally, a drain alongside the road is being built, with about half of the work already completed.
