Attempt to Derail Train on Prayagraj-Lucknow Line Foiled; Railway Officials Launch Investigation in Pratapgarh

A train derailment attempt was made on the Prayagraj-Lucknow railway line, prompting an investigation by railway officials and police.



Recently, there was an attempt to derail the Nau Chandhi Express train on the Prayagraj-Lucknow railway line. This incident took place at Pratapgarh, where some miscreants placed sleepers on the tracks.

High-ranking railway officials visited the site on Friday to conduct a thorough investigation. They examined the scene closely after the incident, which has raised serious concerns.


The Nau Chandhi Express was traveling from Prayagraj to Saharanpur when the attempt was made. Fortunately, the loco pilot applied emergency brakes in time, preventing a major accident.

Police have registered a case against unknown individuals and are actively investigating the matter. They are looking for any leads to identify those responsible for this serious act.
