Bengaluru Introduces Special Train Services for Diwali to Manage Holiday Rush from Kerala and Major Cities

Special trains are being introduced for Diwali travel from Kerala to Bengaluru and other cities.



Kerala is getting special train services for Diwali, which will help people travel to Bengaluru and other big cities. This service is especially for those who want to go home for the festival.

These special trains will run on busy routes, mainly from Bengaluru to several cities like Chennai, Mangaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Patna. This is being done to manage the heavy rush during the holiday season.


Currently, there are two special trains running from Bengaluru to Thiruvananthapuram on Saturdays, with four services on Sundays and Mondays. Passengers are hoping for more regular train services to handle the crowd better.

A total of 13 trips will be available on weekends between Bengaluru and Thiruvananthapuram. Other routes will also have similar arrangements to cater to the festive rush.


Railway officials are looking into the requests for more regular services, especially for Saturdays. Passengers are eager for these changes as the festive season approaches.
