This article shares important information about train services being affected due to infrastructure work by the Central Railway in Mumbai.
The Central Railway is making some changes to train services in Mumbai. This will happen on the night of November 22 and early morning of November 23, 2025. The work will take place between Kasara and Khardi to upgrade their systems.
During this time, there will be a traffic and power block. This means that many long-distance and local train services will be delayed, diverted, or even short-terminated. These changes are necessary to complete the new Electronic Interlocking system safely.
The block starts at 10:40 PM on November 22 and ends at 7:40 AM on November 23. Passengers should expect delays, with some trains like the LTT-Azamgarh Express and the CSMT-Nanded Tapovan Express being delayed by 30 to 40 minutes.
Notably, some suburban trains will also have adjusted schedules. For example, the CSMT-Kasara local train at 4:19 AM will not go all the way to Kasara but will stop at Asangaon instead. Similar changes apply to other local trains during this period.
Passengers are advised to plan their journeys carefully during these dates. The Central Railway assures that these changes are for improving infrastructure and ensuring passenger safety.
