Central Railway’s Railway Protection Force took strict action against lawbreakers in October 2025, booking over 8,000 offenders and recovering significant penalties.



In October 2025, the Central Railway’s Railway Protection Force (RPF) took strong measures against offenders, booking 8,184 individuals for violating the Railway Act. This crackdown resulted in the recovery of ₹38.03 lakh in penalties, aiming to enhance safety for passengers and railway assets.

The RPF conducted targeted operations across various railway divisions. A major focus was on misuse of women’s coaches, leading to 243 men being penalized for entering these reserved areas. Additionally, 59 people were arrested for theft and illegal possession of railway property.


Passengers noticed increased security as the RPF booked 17 individuals for carrying illegal items like liquor and ganja, worth over ₹8 lakh. The swift actions also helped in recovering stolen properties, ensuring a safer journey for everyone using the trains.

RPF personnel are now present in the first and last coaches of suburban trains during busy hours to prevent snatching. Special care is given to women, senior citizens, and differently-abled passengers, ensuring they receive assistance while traveling.


To further improve passenger safety, the RPF has set up quick-response teams and is conducting awareness programs at major stations. They are also working closely with local police and have enhanced mobile applications for reporting suspicious activities.
