Other premium trains like Shatabdi Express and Vande Bharat Express also faced delays due to fog and increased pressure on the Ghaziabad-Tundla section of the railway.
For instance, the Gorakh Dham Express, coming from New Delhi, reached Lucknow 13 hours late. The Tejas Express, which usually leaves at 6 AM, finally departed at 5:24 PM and arrived in New Delhi around midnight, 12 hours late.
Many passengers were left waiting on platforms. Some trains, like the Vande Bharat Express from Ayodhya Cant to Anand Vihar, left late as well, with significant delays of up to three hours for various routes.
The situation is challenging for travelers, and they are advised to check for updates regarding train schedules. Fog is expected to continue affecting services in the coming days.
