Vani was studying in a pre-nursery class at a school named Udaan. Her caretaker, Guddi, was taking her home on foot after school, which ends at 6 PM. Unfortunately, they were crossing the railway track when the train came speeding from Prayagraj towards Lucknow.

Both Vani and Guddi were seriously injured in the accident. They were rushed to the local community health center, but doctors declared Vani dead on arrival. Guddi was then referred to the district hospital for further treatment and is still receiving care.

Vani lived with her mother, Poonam, who had reported the incident to the police. The officials have now filed a case against Udaan school’s manager Roma Singh, the train driver Aman Soni, and the caretaker Guddi based on Poonam’s complaint.
