This article shares updates on heavy snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir and how it has affected travel and tourism in the region.

Heavy snowfall is continuing in Jammu and Kashmir, causing major disruptions in road and air travel. Due to the snow, the Jammu-Srinagar Highway was closed for two days, and air services were also halted for a day.

Despite the snow, tourists are still excited to visit the beautiful valley and are making advance bookings. To help travelers, a special Vande Bharat Express train service has been started for Kashmir.

When heavy snow hit in mid-January, it blocked the Jammu-Srinagar Highway and halted air services. Thankfully, the rail service kept running, and videos of trains passing through the snow-covered valleys became popular online. This has made the train journey to Kashmir quite appealing for tourists.
