Since they started operating in 2019, these trains have changed the way people travel, making journeys quicker and more enjoyable. Now, over 150 Vande Bharat services are running on key routes across India.

The Integral Coach Factory in Chennai has been the main place for making these trains, but now factories in Latur and Raebareli are also joining in. For the first time, they will produce a new 12-coach model, with the first train expected to be ready by November this year.

The Vande Bharat trains can reach speeds of up to 160 kmph and are designed for passenger comfort. They have features like ergonomic seating, mobile charging points, and mini pantries. Special facilities for differently-abled passengers are also included.

The focus on safety is strong, with systems in place to prevent collisions, CCTV cameras for security, and emergency features for passengers. This move is part of a larger plan to expand the fleet and improve services across various routes.
