Indian Railways Set to Launch Vande Bharat Sleeper Train by October 2025, Enhancing Comfort and Speed for Passengers

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw mentioned that the launch will happen only after the second train is fully prepared for service. The second train is expected to be ready by October 15, 2025, and both trains will be introduced together.


The first Vande Bharat Sleeper train has been successfully tested and is now at Delhi’s Shakur Basti Coaching Depot, ready for operation. Passengers are looking forward to enjoying faster and more comfortable journeys once the trains start running.

These sleeper trains can reach speeds of up to 180 kmph. They come with amazing features like USB charging points, public announcement systems, and special facilities for differently-abled passengers, including showers in the first AC car.


Once the second train is ready, officials will decide on the routes for operations. This new addition to the railway fleet is expected to change the way people travel across the country.
