India is all set to get its first Vande Bharat sleeper train. This exciting new service will run between Guwahati and Kolkata. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off this train, and it is expected to start around January 17 or 18 in 2026.

The fare for the Vande Bharat sleeper train has already been announced. For a trip from Guwahati to Howrah, the fare in 3AC is ₹2,300, which includes a meal. The fare in 2AC is ₹3,000, and for 1AC, it is ₹3,600.
With this new sleeper train, passengers will have more options for comfortable travel across long distances. The launch is eagerly awaited, and preparations are currently underway to make sure everything is ready for the start in early 2026.
