Kerala is getting a new Vande Bharat Express train between Kochi and Bengaluru, making travel easier for passengers.
Kerala will soon have its third Vande Bharat Express train. This new service will help many passengers who find the journey between Kochi and Bengaluru long and uncomfortable.
The Southern Railway has set the schedule for this semi-high-speed train, which is a great step for improving rail connectivity in Kerala. It is expected to start operations this month.
The Vande Bharat train will leave Ernakulam at 2.20 p.m. and reach Bengaluru City by 11 p.m. On its return, it departs Bengaluru at 5.10 a.m. and arrives back in Ernakulam at 1.50 p.m. It will stop at several places, including Salem and Coimbatore, making it convenient for travelers.
This new service will cover 608 kilometers in just nine hours, offering a faster and more comfortable option. It includes eight coaches, one of which is for executive class passengers, making it suitable for daily commuters and festive travelers.
The exact start date will be announced soon. This addition brings the total Vande Bharat trains in Kerala to three, following the successful operations of two other routes. The new service is likely to boost tourism and business travel between Kerala and Karnataka.
