In Dhanbad, the Kudmi community members ended their protest after 27 hours on Sunday morning. They cleared the railway tracks at the Pradhankhanta station at 9:19 AM following discussions.
Prior to this, protests were also lifted at other locations like Parasnath and Chandrapura late Saturday night. This has allowed for a gradual return to normal train services.
From early Sunday, train operations started getting back on track. Many trains that had been rerouted or canceled were reinstated, including the Howrah-New Delhi Purva Express, which arrived in Dhanbad three hours late.
However, some trains remained canceled due to the protest, including the Dhanbad-Patna Intercity and several MEMU services. Passengers were informed about the changes to their travel plans.
With the end of the protest, services like Dhanbad-Ranchi Intercity resumed as per schedule. The situation is stabilizing, and the railway authorities are working to restore full service across the affected routes.
