Man Jumps in Front of Vande Bharat Train Near Babhanan Station in Basti, Causes 20-Minute Delay

A tragic incident occurred when a person jumped in front of a Vande Bharat train in Basti, causing a delay.



In Basti, a person jumped in front of a Vande Bharat train near the Babhanan railway station on the Gorakhpur-Lucknow route. This shocking event happened early on Sunday morning, causing the train to stop for about 20 minutes.

The incident took place around 7:20 AM when the train was passing the railway crossing at 220 Badhouli Pur. The individual suddenly jumped onto the tracks, and unfortunately, he died on the spot. His body got stuck under the train.


As a result of this tragic event, the train was halted for some time. The loco pilot immediately stopped the train, and railway staff, including RPF and track maintenance teams, arrived to manage the situation and retrieve the body.

After the body was removed, the train continued to Babhanan station. The train was delayed by 20 minutes due to this incident. The police also arrived at the scene to investigate and take control of the situation.


Currently, the authorities are working to identify the deceased individual. He was wearing a blue shirt and half pants, and the police are trying to find out more about him.
