The Mangaluru-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express has a new schedule starting from October 21. This change comes as part of the Indian Railways’ new Non-Monsoon Train Timetable.

The Southern Railway zone manages this train, which operates on the Konkan Railway route. There are two timetables for this route: one for monsoon and another for non-monsoon periods. This is to ensure that trains run safely, especially during heavy rain.


As per the updated schedule, train number 20646 will leave Mangaluru Central at 8:30 AM and reach Madgaon Junction by 1:10 PM. On the return trip, train number 20645 will depart Madgaon at 6:10 PM, arriving back in Mangaluru at 10:45 PM.

This Vande Bharat train runs every day except Thursdays. It was inaugurated by the Prime Minister on December 30, 2023, and started operations on January 1, 2024.


In terms of ticket prices, the train offers two seating options. An AC Chair Car ticket costs Rs 1,230, while an Executive AC ticket is priced at Rs 2,220. Travelers can enjoy a comfortable ride between these two cities.
