This article discusses the recent meeting of MPs where railway needs for the Sidhi region were addressed.
In a recent meeting held in Jabalpur, the MP from Sidhi, Dr. Rajesh Mishra, brought up important railway issues that need attention for his constituency. The meeting focused on the West Central Railway Division and aimed to improve railway services in the area.
Dr. Mishra emphasized the significance of the Lalitpur-Singrauli rail project, calling it a lifeline for development in his region. He mentioned that the railway work up to Rampur Naikin is complete and urged that the construction to Sidhi be finished by December. This would allow for train services to start operating from Sidhi.
Currently, the Singrauli-Bhopal Urja Dhan Express, which runs three days a week, is the only train connecting Sidhi to Bhopal, and Dr. Mishra believes this is not enough. He requested that this train be made operational every day, and also advocated for the regular service of the Singrauli-Nizamuddin Express.
Additionally, he called for the quick start of double tracking work on the Katni-Singrauli railway line and proposed new train services like a Vande Bharat between Singrauli and Bhopal. He also suggested that an evening intercity train to Jabalpur be approved and that the Urja Dhan Express stops at the Sidhi station.
Dr. Mishra is actively working to meet the railway needs of his constituency and has inspected ongoing railway projects, including the construction between Sidhi and Rewa. He aims to ensure that railway operations from Sidhi commence this financial year and hopes for more trains to be introduced for the benefit of the people.
