The article shares updates about the Vande Bharat Express train service between Mumbai and Goa, including new schedules and increased frequency.

The Vande Bharat Express train service between Mumbai’s CSMT station and Madgaon in Goa is getting an upgrade. Starting from October 22, 2023, the frequency of this train will increase, allowing more passengers to travel comfortably.

Currently, the train runs three days a week, but soon it will operate daily except on Fridays. This change is expected to make it easier for travelers looking to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Konkan coast.

For example, the train number 22229 will leave CSMT at 5:25 AM and reach Madgaon at 1:10 PM. On the return journey, train number 22230 will depart Madgaon at 2:40 PM and arrive back in Mumbai at 10:30 PM. This new schedule offers more options for commuters.

Previously, due to the monsoon timetable, many trains were canceled, affecting the service between Mumbai and Goa. Now, with the new regular schedule, passengers can look forward to a more reliable travel option.

As demand for Vande Bharat trains continues to rise, there is a request for more coaches on this route. However, currently, there has been no addition to the number of coaches for the Mumbai-Goa service, despite the high demand from passengers.

Summary:

  • Vande Bharat Express will increase its service frequency to daily except Fridays.

  • The new schedule starts from October 22, 2023.

  • Train number 22229 leaves CSMT at 5:25 AM and arrives in Madgaon at 1:10 PM.

  • Train number 22230 departs Madgaon at 2:40 PM and reaches CSMT at 10:30 PM.

  • No additional coaches have been added despite high passenger demand.
