Passenger Finds Worms in Food on Lucknow-Meerut Vande Bharat Express; Railway Launches Investigation

A passenger on the Vande Bharat Express found insects in their food, leading to an investigation by the railway authorities.



Recently, there was an incident on the Vande Bharat Express train running from Lucknow to Meerut. A passenger reported finding insects in the food served during the journey on Saturday.

The passenger, named Vikrant, was traveling on train number 22489. He had reserved a seat in coach C-1, seat number nine. While enjoying his meal, he noticed several white insects crawling in the food tray.


Vikrant immediately called a catering staff member to show the insects in the tray. However, the staff member did not respond and walked away. After that, Vikrant contacted the railway’s helpline and control room to file a complaint about the issue.

This incident has gained attention on social media after Vikrant uploaded a 19-second video of his complaint. Following this, the railway authorities have decided to investigate the matter further.


As a result of this complaint, the railway is taking action to ensure passenger safety and hygiene. They are looking into how such a situation could occur and how to prevent it in the future.
