The launch of the Vande Bharat Express train connecting Firozpur and Old Delhi brings new travel options for local residents.



In a significant update for the people of Firozpur, the central government launched the Vande Bharat Express train. Prime Minister Narendra Modi kicked off this modern train virtually, connecting Firozpur to Old Delhi on Saturday.

This new train will not only serve Firozpur but also benefit nearby cities like Faridkot, Bathinda, Dhuri, and Patiala. Additionally, it will make stops at Ambala, Kurukshetra, and Panipat, making travel easier for many.


The train’s first journey included railway staff, their families, senior citizens, NGO members, and BJP leaders. Starting from November 10, it will be open for regular passengers, allowing them to enjoy faster and more convenient travel.

A grand ceremony was held at the Firozpur Cantonment railway station, led by DRM Sanjeev Kumar. Key figures such as the Union Minister of State for Railways and BJP officials were present to mark the occasion and send the train off with a ceremonial flag.


With the introduction of this train, residents can look forward to enhanced connectivity and travel options. The new service promises to make commuting more efficient between these important destinations.
