What’s inside:

This article talks about the crowded train situation after Diwali for routes from Prayagraj to Delhi and Mumbai.

After Diwali, many people are heading back to work, leading to a rush in train travel from Prayagraj to Delhi and Mumbai. The situation is quite hectic as passengers are trying to get home after the holidays.

Currently, 42 trains on these routes are fully booked, with no seats available at all. There are no waiting tickets left either, making it difficult for many travelers to find a way back.

At the train stations, long queues can be seen throughout the day. People are waiting for hours at ticket counters, often leaving empty-handed. Online ticket booking is also tough, as tickets vanish within seconds when they become available.

This overcrowding is a common scenario after the festive season. It is expected that the rush will continue until the end of October. The highest crowd is anticipated on October 26, a Sunday, as many will resume work the next day.

Some popular trains like the Vande Bharat, Shram Shakti, and others are completely packed. The railway has added extra coaches to accommodate passengers, but the situation remains challenging for travelers.

Summary:

  • 42 trains from Prayagraj to Delhi and Mumbai are fully booked.

  • Long queues at stations with passengers facing difficulties.

  • No online tickets available; they get booked in seconds.

  • Rush expected to last until the end of October.

  • Popular trains are added with extra coaches to manage crowds.
