India is all set to get its first Vande Bharat sleeper train. The inauguration will happen on January 17, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagging it off. This train will run between Kolkata and Guwahati.

Along with this new sleeper service, six Amrit Bharat Express trains will also be launched. Passengers can start using these services from January 17 and 18.


The first Vande Bharat sleeper train will be flagged off from Malda Town in West Bengal. It will operate six days a week between Kamakhya and Howrah Junction, making travel more comfortable for passengers.
