This new intercity train will cover a distance of 230 kilometers in just 5 hours and 20 minutes. It will run from Katihar to Siliguri, stopping at various stations along the way.
The train will start from Katihar at 5:00 AM, reach Purnia Junction at 5:25 AM, and leave shortly after. Other stops include Kasba, Jalalgarh, and Araria Court, before arriving in Siliguri at 10:15 AM.
For the return journey, the train departs Siliguri at 12:45 PM and will reach Katihar by 6:05 PM. The average speed of the train will be around 43 kilometers per hour.
Additionally, the Vande Bharat train will also connect Purnia with Danapur, offering more travel options. This new service is expected to improve connectivity for travelers in the region.
