The South Eastern Railway is launching new Amrit Bharat Express trains to improve train connectivity in India. This initiative will start from January 17 and 18, with a total of seven new trains, including the Vande Bharat Sleeper Express.
On January 17, the first Vande Bharat Sleeper train will begin its service along with four Amrit Bharat Express trains. The next day, on January 18, three more Amrit Bharat Express trains will start running for passengers.
One of the key trains is the Howrah-Kamakhya Vande Bharat Sleeper Express. It will leave Kamakhya daily at 6:15 PM, except on Wednesdays, and reach Howrah the next morning at 8:15 AM. The return journey will start from Howrah at 6:20 PM daily, except Thursdays, and arrive in Kamakhya at 8:20 AM the next day.
Other trains being launched include routes from Howrah to Anand Vihar, Varanasi to Sealdah, and many more connecting different parts of eastern and southern India. This will provide passengers with faster and more comfortable travel options.
With these new services, train connectivity between the eastern, northeastern, and southern regions of India will significantly improve. Passengers can expect modern facilities and a more affordable travel experience.
