What’s inside:

A stone was thrown at the Rourkela-Howrah Vande Bharat Express, breaking a window. No one was injured, but safety concerns have been raised.

On Sunday, the Rourkela-Howrah Vande Bharat Express, Train No. 20872, experienced a troubling incident when a stone hit a window in coach C-13 near seat number 23. This happened just after the train left Rourkela station heading towards Howrah.

A passenger saw the window break and immediately notified the train staff. They quickly contacted the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at the next stop, Tatanagar station. RPF Assistant Sub-Inspector R. Rai took note of the incident and reported it to the railway management. As of now, the person responsible for throwing the stone is still unknown, and an investigation is underway.

This incident has raised serious questions about the safety of passengers on India’s top trains. The Vande Bharat Express, famous for its speed and modern features, is meant to provide a comfortable travel experience. However, incidents of stone-pelting on various routes show that there is an urgent need for better safety measures and community awareness.

Officials from the railway have pointed out that such actions not only put lives at risk but also damage public property. They have promised to improve security along the routes where such incidents occur. Plans are being made to enhance surveillance and work more closely with local police to prevent these attacks.

Fortunately, no one was hurt during the stone-throwing incident, but it did disrupt the journey and reminded everyone of the dangers caused by irresponsible behavior. The Rourkela-Howrah Vande Bharat Express is still running, but railway authorities are urging the public to use public transport responsibly and respectfully.

Summary:

  • A stone broke a window on the Vande Bharat Express.

  • The incident occurred shortly after the train left Rourkela.

  • There were no injuries, but safety concerns were raised.

  • Railway authorities are looking to improve security measures.

  • Passengers are advised to respect public transport.
