The Tejas Express started its first journey on October 4, 2019. Within a month, it made a profit of about Rs 7.73 lakh, showing that people are interested in this service.

For those traveling between New Delhi and Lucknow, the Tejas Express offers two classes: AC Chair Car and Executive Chair Car. The ticket prices are Rs 1,679 for AC Chair Car and Rs 2,457 for Executive Chair Car, which is higher than similar trains like Shatabdi and Vande Bharat Express.

To put it in perspective, a ticket on the Shatabdi costs Rs 1,255 for AC Chair Car and Rs 1,955 for Executive Chair Car. The Rajdhani Express, which is a long-distance train, has different classes priced at Rs 1,590 for AC Third Tier and up to Rs 2,630 for AC First Class.

The Tejas Express is a semi-high-speed train with comfortable facilities, although it can reach speeds of 200 km/h, it operates at 160 km/h due to track limitations. This train is still popular among passengers, and dynamic pricing applies to various routes, ensuring that travelers have options.

  • It runs between New Delhi and Lucknow, starting its service on October 4, 2019.

  • Ticket prices for Tejas Express are higher compared to Shatabdi and Vande Bharat.
